Admissions Information
Congratulations! You have worked hard in treatment and are realizing that there are more gains to be made before you go back to work, school or home. Residential post-treatment care is a way to make sure those gains are rock solid.
We hope that if you are reading this page that you understand the Busara difference, having spent some time learning about our vision and your place in it. We are unique with recovery savy, clinically strong, trauma informed staff who invest deeply in each resident. Our home is warm and inviting, allowing energy for continued work to be done in a caring, safe environment.
Who Best Flourishes At Busara?
The woman who has hope and determination and is open to receiving support from the community that she surrounds herself with will flourish at Busara. Our residents often have concerns that involve both substance use and mental health. There are some women who may only have mental health concerns and need a place of security and structure. Each woman is supported based on her needs. With this in mind, each admission is made on a case by case basis as we want the best fit in a recovery environment for each resident.
When inquiring about Busara, Dr. Chester will speak to people who can provide helpful information. The prospective resident of course, as well as her treatment team or treatment therapist. Dr. Chester may want to review treatment records or speak to the prospective resident's pre-treatment therapist. If the prospective resident agrees, Dr. Chester may speak to her family or significant other. All these conversations have one goal - is Busara the best fit? If so, Dr. Chester will work with the treatment facility to transition the resident to Busara in a time effective way.
Our residents find that a stay of at least 3-6 months allows them to heal and feel confident in their ability to manage life's challenges after they leave us. Traditional insurance does not pay for post-treatment recovery care that we are aware of.
How To Contact Dr. Chester: Gail Chester Ph.D., our founder and administrator, can be reached at 214-415-1674 or at gailchester@mybusara.com. It would be her privilege to speak with you.

The Busara House was the answer to our prayers! My wife was able to recover from severe depression and anxiety after being in several mental facilities over the course of 4 to 5 months and undergoing ECT treatment that left her unable to function at home for several weeks. It was a place to get my wife back on her feet. They helped her mentally, physically and spiritually and regaining her confidence in herself. The residential home is very practical, and for me to continue to work while my wife recovered. Thank you Dr. Chester and all of your staff. Resident's Husband -2020
